Today, Dr. Sapan Shah’s campaign criticized Congressman Brad Schneider for voting against the tax reform bill. Congressman Brad Schneider’s vote against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act highlights that his loyalty is to Nancy Pelosi, not the middle-income taxpayers in the 10th District.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provides real tax relief for all tax income brackets and helps foster a job-friendly environment.

The bill nearly doubles the standard deduction, doubles the child tax credit, lowers taxes for every income bracket, and encourages job creation.

Although the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is not perfect, Dr. Shah, an entrepreneur, understands the value this legislation can have on all families and small business owners. The legislation puts more money in the pockets of families and small business owners.

“The fact that Congressman Schneider voted against tax relief for families and small businesses in his district is no surprise,” said campaign spokesperson Spencer Sullivan. “Congressman Schneider votes with his financier Nancy Pelosi 92% of the time. While middle-class families and small businesses are falling behind, partisan politician Brad Schneider is more worried about appeasing Nancy Pelosi than helping his constituents. It’s time for families and small businesses of the 10th District to have a representative that will vote for their interests, not the interest of Washington powerbrokers. Partisan Politician Brad Schneider is exactly why Dr. Shah is running for Congress. It’s time to bring common sense and real-world experience to Washington.”
